How to publish your website on hosting
The archive from the generator is a finished website: it will not open on your computer with a double click, it needs a server. Below, step by step, is how to upload it to hosting, connect a domain and check that form submissions reach you. It usually takes 20–30 minutes, plus up to a day for the domain to connect.
Rather not deal with it? I can put it online for you: hosting, domain, SSL and a form check. from $50, 1–2 days.
What you need
The landing page archive
The ZIP from the result page or the email. Inside is a folder named after the page, with index.php, a source folder and a README.txt.
Hosting with PHP 8
Any paid hosting that supports PHP 8.0 or newer. No database and nothing to install.
A domain
An address like yoursite.com. Buy it with the hosting or from a registrar. Without one the site opens on the host's temporary link.
Half an hour
The upload itself takes about ten minutes. The longest part is waiting for the domain: from a few hours to a day.
GitHub Pages, Netlify, Vercel and site builders will not work: the lead form runs on PHP, and those platforms serve only static pages or their own templates.
Choose hosting
Any hosting with PHP 8.0 or newer, a free SSL certificate and a file manager in the control panel will do. The cheapest plan is more than enough for one page.
Where to host
My own site runs on Hostinger — I have worked with it for a long time and recommend it. It has everything a landing page needs: PHP 8, free SSL and a clear panel with a file manager.
Connect the domain
If you bought the domain with the hosting, it connects automatically. If it is with another registrar, replace its nameservers with the ones your host gives you.
The change spreads across the internet in a few hours to a day. You can upload the files without waiting: the site opens as soon as the domain starts working.
Upload the files
- Unzip the archive on your computer — inside is a folder named after the page.
- In the hosting panel open the file manager and go to the site folder — usually public_html (www or htdocs on some hosts).
- Delete the host's placeholder page if there is one: default.php or index.html.
- Upload the contents of the page folder — index.php, the source folder and README.txt — straight into public_html.
Upload the contents, not the folder itself. Otherwise the site opens at yoursite.com/folder-name/ instead of yoursite.com. If you prefer to upload the ZIP and extract it in the panel, move the files one level up afterwards.
Turn on SSL
Find the SSL section in the hosting panel and issue a free certificate — on most hosts it is a single button. It is issued once the domain is connected. After that the site should open over https:// with a padlock in the address bar.
Test the lead form
If you entered WhatsApp or a Telegram bot when creating the page, everything is already set up. If not, open source/php/config_telegram.php and fill in the bot token and chat id — README.txt explains how to get them.
Send a test submission from your phone and make sure it arrives. That is the last step: from here the page works on its own.
Troubleshooting
403 Forbidden
File permissions are missing. In the file manager set folders to 755 and files to 644.
Error 500 or a blank page
Most likely the hosting runs an old PHP version. Switch it to 8.1 or newer in the panel.
The host's placeholder page opens
The host's default.php or index.html is still in the folder — delete it. If that does not help, reload without cache: Ctrl+F5.
The site only opens with a folder in the address
The folder was uploaded instead of its contents. Move the files from it straight into public_html.
Leads do not arrive
Check config_telegram.php: the token and chat id without spaces or quotes. And send /start to your bot — until you do, it cannot message you.
No https padlock
The certificate is not issued yet or the domain is not fully connected. Issue SSL again once the domain opens.
FAQ
How much does it cost to publish a website?
Hosting with PHP costs a few dollars a month, a domain around $10–15 a year, and renewal is usually more expensive than the first year. You pay the host and the registrar directly.
Can I publish a website for free?
Free PHP hosting exists, but with ads, limits and no guarantee the site stays up. For a page that collects leads that is the wrong place to save: one lost lead costs more than a month of hosting.
Will GitHub Pages, Netlify or Vercel work?
No. The lead form runs on PHP, and those platforms serve only static pages. You need regular hosting with PHP 8.
Can I add the landing page to an existing site?
Yes. Upload the whole page folder next to your site files — the page opens at yoursite.com/folder-name/. The hosting just needs PHP 8.
How long does it take?
Uploading and setup take 20–30 minutes. The longest part is waiting for the domain: from a few hours to a day.
